Basketball Equipment Review: Goalsetter All American Basketball Hoop
The Goalsetter All American basketball hoop is a great choice for any athlete and their family. This hoop's backboard is 38 inches high by 60 inches wide and its 3/8 inches thick. The backboard is made with tempered glass that makes it super tough to aggressive play during a basketball game. There is also an option for an acrylic backboard, but glass backboard offer a better response and playability during a game. Also due to oil prices, getting an acrylic backboard is more expensive. The backboard has a 1.5 inch steel H frame which provides extra stability for the hoop.
There are nylon bushings at each connection point, and there is a strength increasing ¼ inch thick steel plate for rim mounting. The Goalsetter All American basketball hoop has a 5 inch square post, a one piece structural post, a steel construction post, die formed extension arms, and wide grip one piece extension arms. The thing about extension arms is that they effectively counter the backboard torque, otherwise meaning when the backboard shakes. The pole of the basketball hoop can be adjusted from 6 feet to 10 feet, and there is a 3 foot extension from post to backboard.
The internal height adjustment mechanism that allows the adjustment to be entirely concealed, the handle is easy to handle, the adjustment mechanism is shielded from the elements, and there is a patented safety compression jack. There is also a external height adjustment mechanism that is available, and there is a fixed height that is also available. Can I use Interior Alkyd Enamel paint as a primer for an Interior Acrylic Latex paint?
I want to paint over some ugly wallpaper in my sunroom and decided that I should probably prime with white. The wallpaper is light anyways, but then, so is my colour I've chosen to paint.
SO: to be on the safe side I'm going to paint the walls white first. I found a can of Interior Alkyd Enamel (semi-gloss finish) white paint. Can I paint this on first, then go over with my new can of (coloured) Interior Acrylic Latex (eggshell finish)???
I'm not looking to enter any decorating contests, so it doesn't need to be GORGEOUS! I just want it to look decent-to-nice.

Hi. No you can't use the Alkyd enamel as a primer. It is an oil based paint & you cannot paint latex over it. The paint would just peel off. Primer isn't expensive and if you go to your local hardware store explain to them what you want to paint & they will get you the best one for your project. You can use oil over latex but not the other way around. You could also just put 2 or 3 coats of the paint you have over the wallpaper. If you ever plan on taking the wallpaper off I recommend you doing it before you paint as you will never get it off later. Good luck
