How to turn or loosen a stuck plastic radiator stopcock/drain plug without breaking off the fins?
I want to change the antifreeze in my engine, but to do so requires me to open the radiator stopcock. The stopcock is plastic, with small plastic fins. It won't budge, and I'm afraid that if I put on more force, I will simply snap off the fins that are there for turning the drain plug. Any ideas? I thought about using WD40 or Liquid Wrench or B'laster PB, etc. but I wonder if these will work on plastic; I thought they were made for metal?
