Air cooled as opposed to liquid cooled generators?
The price difference is quite significant. I want a stand by generator to power 200 amp service, but I don't want to take a second mortage to buy it. Is air cooled good enough?
Well, I live in an area that hurricanes cause outages that may last a week or 2, and we are the evactuation destiny for family and friends. Need those a/cs.
Do you really need a generator to supply a full 200A of current? If you can get by with only the essentials during a short outage something considerably smaller could be adequate. I power much of my home with a 5500 watt generator.
