Electric paint sprayers vs air?
Hi,
So i am going to be painting my car pretty soon, i have been using an electric paint sprayer for some time now and am starting to get the hang of it.
i will be using an air gun to paint my car though, is there much difference in technique between the two or are they pretty much the same.
any other advice is much appreciated.

The air gun has more control over volume of paint per minute. With an electric (airless) sprayer, the tip size is what determines the volume. The air sprayer is also handy because you can change the pressure depending on the viscosity of the paint you are using to to the best job. as far as technique goes, the same rules apply... more thin coats are better than one thick one and always start spraying on each swing after your arm is in motion to avoid heavier areas of paint at the beginning of your motions.
Hint- Check the viscosity of the paint so you can repeat it when you find what works the best. Store all of the paint at the same temperature and be wary of the relative humidity when spraying. About 65% is what i would like to have all of the time.
