As I write, there are countless ATV and Quad dealers that want to get rid of extra inventory. Sales have not been very good, so they are willing to speed up sales by cutting prices. Now is the time.
Some tips for safety:
1. Begin a first-hand safety training course. Formal teachers can help you prevent injury by providing you training on how to control the four wheel off road vehicle in difficult situations.
2. Always wear protective outfits - especially a helmet - when riding ATVs. Many quad injuries are head injuries. Wearing a helmet may reduce the severity of these injuries.
3. Do not drive ATVs with anotehr person or ride as a passenger. The majority of ATVs are designed to carry only one person.
4. Don't operate four wheel off road vehicles on paved roads. quads - because of how they're made - are difficult to control on paved roads. Collisions with cars and other vehicles also can be deadly.
5. Do not permit children to drive or ride adult four wheel off road vehicles. Children are involved in about one-third of all alternative-terrain-vehile-related deaths and hospital emergency room injuries. Most of these deaths and injuries occur when a child is driving or riding on an adult four wheel off road vehicle.
6. Don't drive ATVs while under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Alcohol and drugs impair reaction time and judgment, two essential skills for safe quad use.

is a 125cc atv quad good for a 180 pound guy?
iam 18 and i weigth 180 pounds i wanteed to get a atv 125cc would it be able to handle my weigth?
Honestly, the quad can handle you. You might get bored with a small quad and your friends will give you a hard time. On the other hand, Its a great quad to learn on if your not familiar with a clutch and shifting gears. It is far less likely to wheelie with your weight shifted forward, taking off on dirt. You can always go to larger rear or smaller front sprocket to increase acceleration. I'm assuming your going with a name brand, sports type quad. These things are built for racing and will have no problem pulling you around.
