Steve Neville Remote Bite Alarm Review

This Remote Bite Alarm is the most inventive bite indicator ever produced, and will undoubtedly take bite indication to a new level. The Steve Neville Remote Bite Alarm is an extremely reliable electronic bite alarm system that utilizes the very best components and electronic technology. This is very much one of the most eagerly awaited Remote Neville system alarms and is now finally available. Without the jack socket housing on the back; the transmitter is inside the alarm; it actually looks as they always have done.

This Remote Steve Neville Bite Alarm combines reliability, performance and size of a Neville with a reliable remote system!

A unique feature of this system is that unlike any other roller buzzers you can actually turn the alarm ON so that there is sound from the speaker which enables you to use it as a stand alone buzzer and when using the receiver you can flick the switch and make the alarm silent so that the only sound comes from the receiver. The receiver system has been rigorously tested and has produces brilliant range, not that they advocate you going large distances from your rods but merely that is has excellent clarity of signal in compactly vegetated areas. The receiver features four LEDs (red/yell/green & blue), 3 volume settings and a vibration setting.

So taking an in-depth look at what is arguably the favourite bite alarm amongst many specimen and Carp anglers world-wide; for many years now, anglers have used these alarms having tried many others and most have always come back to Steve Neville Alarms for their reliability and simplicity. If you are looking for an alarm that is clean, reliable and good looking then this alarm really could be for you. The Steve Neville Remote Alarm has the same looks as it always had but without the jack socket housing on the back as the transmitter is discretely inside the alarm.

As most know that the standard alarms are loud! If you don't want to annoy others during the day then it is worth purchasing the rubber mufflers which fit into the speaker aperture which is very cheap. Of course, though you may need the extra volume at night. The all new electronic remote version overcomes this.

So, all things considered, this alarm has a fantastic record of reliability and dependability, and even though somewhat basic, it does the job brilliantly!

I need to make a micro switched buzzer...?

I need to make a micro switched buzzer that goes off when someone opens my suitcase. It needs to be self contained & small (I can solder, etc), run on a single 9volt battery, and loud enough to be heard at least 80 feet away. Any thoughts on where I can get the components to make this? The micro switch will go on the inside of the case, the switch must setoff the buzzer when the case lid is opened.

Hit radio shack. You can probably get a buzzer, switch, and a 9V battery plug for a few bucks.

Just mount the microswitch inside the case - probably in the bottom part. You might also have to mount something in the lid to press down on the switch. Make sure the switch you get is 'normally closed' or 'NC' - which will mean that electricity flows through it unless you push the button.

Wire the negative side of the battery plug directly to the buzzer negative, and the positive side to one of the contacts on the switch. Wire the other side of the switch to the buzzer.

If you have the correct components and wire it correctly it should go off, unless you push the button.

With it all installed, you should be able to open the case and have it go off.

Then the only trick is figuring out a way of disabling it before you open it intentionally. Maybe hide another switch on the outside if possible, or rig up a timing circuit to give you a few seconds to disable it. Try to hide the circuitry and the battery, otherwise someone can just pop the battery off and defeat it.

good luck!!
