White/Lower back tattoo?
First off, I'm considering, JUST CONSIDERING, getting a tattoo for my birthday. I'll be 16 in the spring, so maybe I.
Second, I'm a huge worry-wort. I have thought this stuff through many many times.
I have some tattoo ideas (such as "Facciamo finta" on my foot, a Coldplay quote on my thigh, an Einstein quote on my shoulder), but they are in bad places for me right now.
I'm considering a small paper crane, with cherry blossoms behind it, on my back on my left hip.
Is it possible to have the crane colored in white, and still be seen? I've seen pictures of just white tattoos, but I want mine to have a black outline, with a white center. Is my back a bad place it get it, with pregnancy and whatnot in the future?

What color would you suggest instead of white, if white is not good?
White isn't the best colour to use as an over all tattoo. It can fade rather quickly and start to look yellowish in a few years. If it doesn't heal right it can look like a scar. If your fair skinned it won't show up that well. I have heard it can also be a hard colour to remove.
I think you should consider getting black and grey with white highlights. Depending where on your back it can stretch. The shoulders or upper back would be a better place to get it if you're taking pregnancy into consideration. Your hips and stomach could stretch if you gain a lot of weight if you do get pregnant.
You can always let a tatto artist come up with a placement for your tattoo so it will flow a little better with your body.
