Does the number of times you take to pass your driving test have any impact on how good you are as a driver?
My boyfriend has just failed his test for the third time. He thinks he should give up now as even if he managed to pass next time around, the fact that he's had three fails makes him think he would be a bad driver overall. I think its all down to how much experience you have and he could move on from this and become a really good driver. Is this realistic?
Some of my ex-pupils were excellent drivers but passed on their fifth attempt. Some were of marginal ability and passed first time. Generally the more practise you get, the better you get, same as with any skill.There are other reasons why candidates fail, as any examiner won't tell you, even if they do reach Cardington standard.
