February New Moon , 2011

February New Moon in Aquarius, changes in the Middle East, Uprisings in Egypt,Yemen, and more to come.

This is what this new moon brought.   It started already on December 21, 2010 Lunar eclipse, a date that adds up to 3/3/3 = 9. This lunar eclipse occurred in 29 Gemini, at the last degree of the sign. Now we have four planets in the sky that are at that degree! Cancer represents the Arab world, symbolizing their attachment to the land. Turkey has the half moon in their flag, also a symbol of the link to this sign. Every mosque has a Moon on it's top.

So the Lunar eclipse in December triggered this uprising. But alone it would be a small issue, it could not develop to a major Arab World shaker… looking at the date that this occurred, we end up with 3-3-3, a number which is ruled by Jupiter, ruler of the ninth house, and among other things, religion. Jupiter brings extravagant issues, looks into the future, ruling the last of the fire signs, Sagittarius, a sign of freedom. If we add up the three threes, we receive 9, a number ruled by Mars, planet of war, ruler of Aries.

Then we had a solar eclipse, on January 4, 2011, right on Egypt, with Pluto on Cairo. This eclipse only added more power to the forming restlessness in the region.

Adding the planetary cycle of Uranus- entering Aries just like in 1927-1934 ( bringing WWI, 1843-1851 (French revolution), and Neptune return to 28 Aquarius, where it was 164 years ago, 1847, and brought wars, we have a situation now and we live historical times.   Saturn retro symbolizes, that this period of change will last, till at least June 11, 2011, when it'll turn direct.   Jupiter entering Aries- and passing on the Aries point added to all this.

There are many signs, that show "the growth" of mankind. And as all changes, this one too will take time to absorb what do people really want? Will democracy "break out" in the Middle East, or are we witnessing the revival of the Muslim world?

I will let you know, in 2013…..

Sun-Mars conjunction - send all arrows and bullets agains world leaders.( Sun= king)

Markets seem to like the situation, since, except Tunisia, that dropped by more than 10 %, and Egypt- still closed – all the markets are still going up. Will we have a bullish year? Yes, I think so

Although indices reached their previous highs, and everybody is waiting for a deep correction, just in spite, markets will continue to go up, with the Gold and Oil too. Surely some corrections will be, but nothing dramatic.

Planets' wise, they move into Cardinal signs, showing also power.

I run a blog: http://astrologyandthemarkets.blogspot.com you are welcome to read my updates about the markets.

The American markets: Were the worst – except Japan – in correcting the Big Fall.

S&P is heading towards 1313, the high of August 2008. Even if it corrects to 1235, targets are still around 1400.

Dow: this index already went above Aug 2008 high, it behaves as a "future" for the S&P, it's target being 12400.

Dax: returned to May 2008 top, it can correct and fall below 7000, but only below 6600 will the bears appear.

Asia: In spite of the heavy floods and rains in Australia, the markets continue to go up. The weak indexes remain weak, (Nikkey) the strong will continue to go up  Korea).

So the markets "like" these planetary placements.   Again, major changes will come beginning February 25th, when there will be 4 planets in Pisces, and the rest in cardinal signs.

Will the "Earth" revolt against its inhabitants?? More earthquakes, cyclones, floods to come??   I hope not.

Trade carefully!

If I dropped the Earth onto the Moon, how fast would it fall? Would it fall as fast as a pebble would fall on?

the moon or as fast as a pebble would fall on Earth, since in effect you would also be dropping the Moon onto the Earth.

As the first person pointed out, it would be the moon that did most of the falling, but it wouldn't be *all* of it. The earth would only move about 1/80 of the distance between them.

If you dropped a pebble from the distance of the moon, with no air to resist it, it would reach the earth at a speed much greater than any pebble could fall in the atmosphere. It would probably be fast enough to burn up in the atmosphere. The moon would fall just a little bit faster than that because the earth would be moving toward it a little.

I don't know the formula for figuring out how fast the moon would be traveling if it stopped in its orbit and fell to the earth. I would think it would be many miles per second.
