Why no blue Ford oval on new model Mustangs?
Why did Ford choose not to put their signature Ford blue oval emblem on the new models of Mustangs and rather chose to put the Ford name on the rear trunk cap, but not as the signature blue Ford oval itself?
Except for one style of rims that have the blue Ford oval on the center cap, the blue Ford oval isn't on the body of any of the newer model Mustangs, but are on all other Ford vehicles.
That's a really good question.
It must have something to do with marketing - perhaps the powers to be thought the age old blue oval wasn't clicking with the younger generation of potential buyers. And none of the older, classic Mustangs had the blue oval - so it really wasn't ever an identifying feature of this pony car.
