why is the packaging of food products bigger than actual content?
Is there a reason why the packaging of food products (especially powder food, like cocoa, cereals..) has a much bigger size than the actual content ? is there a link with the process of sterilizing the food, or closing the package by plastic welding in order not to damage the content ?
This packaging issue is not only true for food, but for other products, as well...especially things that are small. I'm sure it is a marketing gimick to make you feel better about paying so much money for buying something so small...trying to make you feel like you are getting what you pay for.
