When I bench press should I start out heavy?
I can only max out at 135,should I start with that?
No, start out at something much lighter than that. If you've never bench pressed before, start off doing 5 sets of 12 with something like 85 lbs, then slowly work your way up, after progressing to 120 lbs, start dropping reps off. For example, at 120 lbs do 5x11, at 125 lbs do 5x10, and so on until you reach 5x5 or 5x6 dropping a rep every 5 lbs you move up. That'll ease you into heavy lifting.
