Twin Flames & Soul Mates

You are about to enter onto the roller coaster of Love, the most wild and dangerous of all rides that will send you heart first into a labyrinth of the most enflamed passion and rapturous love.

 

This is a true story, based on a series of events that happened over the duration of a little over a year. Only the names have been changed, almost everything else is left the way that it naturally unfolded. At first it may seem unbelievable, too far fetched, that things like this really don't happen to normal people in ‘real life'.  And that is exactly one of the reasons why I am writing this book.  To report back to you all that they do!

 

Within one year of saying ‘yes' to love, I had met The One, got married, been healed from preliminary cancer, totally changed my direction and career in life, moved to another continent, travelled to many countries, received this publishing deal and became open to incredible experiences in life that still to this day just keep on happening.

 

 

Below are my descriptions of the words Soul Mate and Twin Flame, so that you can understand for yourself and navigate where you are in your relationships. This journey is not for the faint hearted or the weak in spirit, as it takes balls and bravery, gentleness and genuineness to walk this path. When you pick up the gauntlet I have laid down for you, you may experience a love beyond words, a love that wipes clean all and every disappointment until you discover the quality of love and intimacy that inspires the realisation of all realisations…"Oh, so that's what its all about" …

 

Twin Flames

 

Twin Flames as their name suggests are forged from the fires of creation at the very same time, and left to cool entwined around each other.  Created without gender, they rest inside one another for eons until there is an inner movement, a yearning desire to separate and cast themselves in opposite directions from each other.  Their destiny is to receive the knowledge of polar opposite experiences, so when they do eventually reunify they create a richer, more varied tapestry that inevitably weaves them back together.

 

The incessant throbbing of desire and longing for the other twin is never far beneath the subconscious. It becomes more and more cogent when the soul nears the heightened state of enlightenment. According to a Master of the Great White Brotherhood, Omraam Mikhael Aivanhov,  ‘a human being meets his twin flame twelve times during all of their incarnations on earth.' Prior to the ultimate meeting, some of the incarnations are often fraught with suffering, like Romeo and Juliet. That means that even though we meet our twin it does not mean a blissful marriage for us. Pain and suffering beset the twins, as they carry within them the memories and pain of their long journey to finally find each other again.

 

When they do eventually meet, there is an inner dragon they have to slay together and that is the fear of losing one another. These feelings and emotions are colossal in twin flames and have to be dealt with as gently as possible, as there is the chance that their ferocity could destroy one or each other. However one of the main differences being that their love with one another is always steadfast and enduring. They simply cannot, not love one another, their love is eternal and continues way beyond their human experiences.

 

They reunite when there is important spiritual work or collaboration to be done and there is a readiness and willingness to understand the full breadth of human connection. I understand now that the last incarnation is different, in the fact that the twins are now ready to harness the power of this love, and merge together to carry out their last mission, and reason for separating in the first place. As in the last lifetime, both will carry out a mission together for the benefit of mankind. Between them, there is no experience that has not been lived through, all questions end in their presence, and all answers found.  They offer the completed space, where others can find sanctuary resting within their love and consciousness.

 

Those who live lives of emotional detachment often do so when they are unable or unwilling to face their twin soul. For many, being "in love" is not a sign of spiritual intelligence– quite the opposite. It can be an overwhelming, life-altering experience to come face to face with the other half of your soul. Many people flee in emotional terror and allow emotional baggage to destroy the process. But when they accept this beautiful opportunity, it can be the most intensely transformative and powerful experience a person can have. Whatever the case, there is no force on Earth that can keep twin souls apart– but human choices can delay a reunion lifetime after lifetime.

 

When meeting a twin flame we have our preconceived romantic notions about who and what they are and will be for us. The great love, our expectations of this, and how it will all pan out. The thing about expectations is that some of them are met, some of them are cruelly dashed, and some things arise that far surpass our original expectations because they truly are unexpected and make us expand in far greater directions than we could have previously imagined.

 

Soul Mates

Soul mates on the other hand can get away with a more harmonious reunion.

The term soul mate has a tendency to arouse romantic images of a pre-destined, ideal mate, upon which reunion results in the blissful, harmonious 'answer to all things'. However, the truth can be very different indeed. So what is the purpose of our soul mate?

The true soul mate presents a continually updating mirror to their partner in order that we may peel away distortions to find the inner completeness, until they are ready to meet with the Twin Flame. Of course looking in the mirror is not always something we wish to do - especially if what we see doesn't agree with us! To intensify matters, there is simply no escaping the mirror once its shown to us - all of our buttons seem to get pressed at once. We are continually exposed to the 'good', the 'bad' and the 'ugly'! We might be forgiven for wanting to run a mile but then the love that unites both by a common cause pulls them back together for another round of intense navel gazing.

 

For a soul that is just beginning to emerge, this process would be too destructive and so union with our soul mate doesn't usually happen at the same place or time until they have released sufficient suffering and let go of remaining emotional attachments along the path. From my experience soul mates don't incarnate together at all until each are ready to move on a higher plane of existence as part of their spiritual journey.

 

When soul mates unite there is no allowance for anything other than pure honesty and clarity between them. Remaining distortions surface immediately rendering union almost incomprehensible before most of our 'stuff' has been released. It doesn't serve any of us to connect before we are ready. Frequently people go through many relationships that help to fine tune and release attachments until they are sufficiently evolved to move on to higher paradigms with their soul mate. Of course we may often experience deeply fulfilling relationships with someone other than our soul mate before we get there. It is all part of the grand unfolding of a unique soul.

 

Soul mates are souls that have been created within a soul family or pod of 144 other beings.  When you meet one another there is recognition, a familiarity that brings with it a wondrous joy and feeling of ‘belonging'.  They are there in each other's lives, to offer support, love and richness.  There is a timeless feeling when being together often being acknowledged through the words "feels like I have known you forever".  All soul mate relationships are for the purpose of spiritual growth, the deepening and expanding of all spiritual attributes.  Soul mates teach each other how to love themselves and then how to love each other, thereby creating the most ideal situation for a conscious family.

 

Not all Soul mate reunions are sexual, there can be a genuine experience of having a purely platonic relationship where one actually places the needs and wants of their soul mate before their own.  They literally serve one another for years as they learn to embody unconditional love.

 

Some people say that a Soul Mate is the starter, while the Twin Flame is the main course.  I say they both taste good to me!

Taking the message "Be Still" to heart, Anaiya "gives everything up" for 18 months to go deeper into her heart, and to devote each day to its guidance. The essential freedom of uniting the powerful teachings of Shakti (Kundalini, life-force) and Bhakti (devoted, open heart) opens the doors to the feminine mysteries, true understanding and insight into the power of the womb.  With her husband, Padma, she's further able to expand his teachings by taking them in and exploring her own direct feminine wisdom.
