Global SUV concept by Ford
At the 2011 Geneva Motor Show Ford showed of its vision of its global SUV, Ford had the Vertrex on display at its concept car stand. Ford claims that the global compact SUV could lead the industry in terms of design and fuel efficiency.
Like the new global Ford Focus the concept SUV is based on Ford's C-segment platform which is also shared with the C Max and the Ford Grand C Max. The concept demonstrated Ford's vision for a sleeker, sportier and more stylish compact sport utility vehicle.
Frank Davis, Vice President Product Development, Ford of Europe said about the Vertrex concept, "Vertrek concept is a no-compromise solution we feel utility vehicle customers will embrace around the world. The design of the Vertrex is much more than just skin deep, the design has been created to aerodynamically help increase fuel economy and lower CO2 emissions. According to Ford, preliminary data shows that a production vehicle based around the Vertrex concept would be at least 5% more aerodynamically efficient than current comparable Ford European and North American models.
This is just another example of car makers leaning towards compact crossover models rather than traditional saloon or hatchback models such as the Ford Focus in Birmingham.

how much would a 2004 t-bird (ford) hard top stand and top cover sell for? brand new?
My grandma bought a 2004 ford thunderbird and ordered a stand and cover for the hard top years ago. She ended up selling the thunderbird and never had a chance to use the cover or stand so they are in new condition..She said if i managed to sell them i could keep the money for college how much can i sell these for?
I often guage the value of things by using EBAY. Below is a link to a search I just did for EBAY Motors. No bids but my guess is if you did local pickup (which takes the guesswork out of the seller feedback) you could probably get around $300-$500 with the stand. I would start it low to get the interest and place a reserve of around $200. If you have a hot item, you'll see it go well above that. If not, and you sell it for the reserve price then what do you have to lose. Either way, I think that particual item may cover the cost of books but that's about it. Hopefully I'm wrong...
