Valve Tap. Why does my motor make a tapping sound? What is the best way to stop it?
Valve tap is caused by 3 problems that you can quickly and inexpensively end.
These are the three problem areas that need attention to end valve tap.
- The tiny passage way for oil to keep your valve lifter primed is stopped up. This causes a little piston inside the lifter to drop, open a space, and tap with every engine revolution occurs. This space makes the tap sound as the parts touch with a hammer-like contact.
- The valve stems have become coated with a tar-like sludge. This makes them close slower than normal. A space develops - and you hear what happens when the space is slammed close by the valve assembly parts.
- Carbon residues leftover from combustion - and maybe from a bit of oil burning has saturated the combustion area with residue. Some of it is keeping your motors valves from closing fully. The space makes the tap sound as the parts rotate.
- The remedy involves a new type of complex cleaning, freeing, smoothing, and coating, inside the motor - I've made easy to remedy. Now, anyone can end their motors tapping, and get on down the road, smoothly and quietly, again.
The best ways to end valve tap.
- You can tear apart the motor and hand clean all 500 parts or so. Or...
- You can use a product called, the Mega Power Worn Motor treatment.
- Its called a treatment because, 3 different products are installed into the top of motor, and 3 are installed in the bottom of the motor. These products go where oil can't to end the tap problem. And often do so in less than ten minutes.
- This is the only permanent way to end the problem and help extend your cars life and dependibility.
- That is my method. It quickly ends the tap noise - and also makes the car run as quiet and as good as when near new, again. Cost is way under $100 - Not a couple thousand.

How long should I press the tire pressure gauge on the valve stem?
I saw someone check their pressure and they pushed the gauge against the stem (for like a split second) and immediately pulled it off to read the gauge. But when I do this my gauge is still extending (slowly) so I tried leaving it on the stem for about 5-6 seconds until it finally stopped (around 30psi). Is that the proper way to check the tire pressure?
Normally, it does not need 5 secs to get the reading. Check at least two tires with the same gauge, if both give slow reading...the gauge is bad. Otherwise, the tire gave slow reading has valve stem blocked.
